"Update 8/19/26 just had my car break down called Statefarm and my car was towed immediately. So had to call and get my coverage lowered until i can purchase another vehicle. Thank you Vanessa for keeping it simple.

"Went in to discuss our policy and to see why it went up so much and to make sure to asked about all their Promotions and things we could apply to our policy or possibly change to lower it a bit. She said I had all available discounts already and kept pushing for me to change our home insurance to them. I told her I didn’t want to do that since I just did all of that with another company and was happy where we are but she insisted that is really the only way we can lower it back down but there would be many forms to verify of all work done on our property since we owned it. I have owned our house since 2003. State Farm needs a form signed with signatures from all certified contractors that we used to show proof of all the remodeling we have done . She needed me to fill out paper work for work done in 2003, 2011, and 2018 that did our work however two out of the three companies unfortunately went out of business. But all that just to switch to them.? Seems like a ton of hoops to jump through to save less then $100 on our auto policy. But would have cost me a extra $1,000 for my homeowners insurance. Make it make sense. My entire appointment was mostly off topic small talk about her then business and I had to keep redirecting it back to why I came in... I was still polite but didn’t leave feeling helped with what I actually came in for. I do like State Farm but don’t think this is the agent for me after going home and getting on the State Farm app and signing up for a discount I was eligible for on there . I honestly don’t know why I even went in when a app did all I was looking for and then some. What’s the point of having an agent? especially if they say I don’t have anything else offered through State Farm when clearly I did. Yet she kept insisting there wasn’t any other eligible discounts for us when there clearly was. I just figured she would know more then me yet I walked out more stressed then when I walked in. Yet I held my composer and just left after I realized nothing really productive happened in my appointment. Best of luck to you as a individual but I want a agent that helps with what I came in for not a sales pitch for you to make more money."
